Polly paints

Over the last several years, I've had lots of free time to take up a new hobby - painting! I was very inspired to try it by my father, who starting painting when he retired, and my grandmother, who has been a professional oil landscape painter for many, many years.

Just thought I’d share a few of my better paintings. Please try not to judge them too harshly as I’m still a beginner, but it’s a fun hobby to have.

On a different note, I have to give a big shout out to my hubby, Mr. Pincushion, as he gave the public presentation of his dissertation today! He did a fantastic job…BRAVO!

  1. I love the painting of the White Mountains. It's a great memory of the wonderful vacation we all had.

  2. I hadn't seen these! Did you stay in that art class or were these done on your own? Hope you're framing some of your artwork!

How are you feeling this week? You don't have another session until next Monday, right?

Heard the good news today. Congrats, Dr. Pincushion!!!!

  4. You are quite a creative little one...aren't you?I did not know how talented you were until I started reading your blogs and now the paintings...I think you may want to put all your blog posts in a book format and share with the world along with some of these paintings...they are marvelous....do you remember those days when the 6 of us would hang over your house and eat, drink and be merry...I miss those times...how much fun!!
Hey do you like smoothies or juicing???? Juicing some raw fruits, like apples, carrots and pears together may go down nicely...it is delish...maybe add a little ginger as well or parsely for nausea..also another combo that is good is juice kale, apple, carrot, ginger..it may give you a zip....Be Well...the Nancy and the Mass(cold weather..when will it ever warm up)Family

  5. I love the one with the little house! really cute... why don't we organize an exhibition of your paintings? It would be a great excuse to get together...I offer my house and my walls to post them and you can invite whoever you want. Doggies allowed. Let's to that before the baby comes!
